The festival of Raksha Bandhan is very significant in our society. Our society attaches very high value to relationships. Raksha Bandhan not only helps in strengthening the relationship between brothers and sisters, it also strengthens the relationship of the society in general. This simple ceremony affirms the people's loyalty and faith not only amongst themselves, but also for the society. Celebration of this festival creates a feeling of unity and belongingness in the minds of all the people in the country. I would suggest that all the sisters while celebrating the Raksha Bandhan to resolve that "my brother and I will remove the pain of at least few fellow human beings and enrich their lives with love". This single action enables spreading of love and affection among all the members of our society.

During this week of Raksha Bandhan I resolve to remove the pain of at least five fellow human beings and enrich their lives with love.
