Children's Corner

  • Q
  • dear mr president, as a student in an international school, ive tried to model the differences between the type of educations here and in India. I have realised that in India, most of our children are stuck with textbooks and the bare minimum required securing good or perhaps escellent marks on the exams. I personally find an elevation in my general knowledge after coming here. I believe that awareness of the world around us is one of the fundamental elements in shaping someone. I would like to know if general knowledge and current affairs can be more strictly imposed on the indian educations system.

  • In our country, education has three layers ? primary, secondary and higher education. Regarding the last two categories, our syllabus and the method of teaching can be said to be normal and certain e-education has to be embedded. I feel the primary education for children below needs a change in the curriculam so that the creativity of the children can be brought out. Teachers have to be selected keeping this concept in mind.
